Since I have to schedule so much time to market the book and "wow" the social media masses with my charm, I've decided this blog will be the only thing around my book releases that I will not schedule. I want to come here when I'm done with work, relaxed, and ready to be the entertaining person I tend to be. I want to come here and talk about publishing a novel to people who might actually want to know what it's like. And I can't do that in 280 characters.
So, more book updates!
Our artist has given me a beautiful sample of the cover art, and I have to say I'm impressed. I'll be changing the branding slightly again, but this will be the last time for this book, and I'm excited about that. I can't wait to be able to focus on writing the second book again.
Book 1 has finally been formatted! This was something that I was scared to do by myself, but it ended up being pretty straightforward in Word. Do not fear, dear Writer. There are tutorials everywhere, and they're easy to follow. If you can write a book, you can format it. I believe in you. However, I will ensure my documents are already formatted before I start writing. It's a little time-consuming to go back and fix it.
This weekend, I'll be doing a title, and book cover reveal simultaneously! It will be a very quiet reveal since I was so loud about my last one (oops). You'll probably just wake up on Sunday morning and see everything has changed.
I've also decided that our Kickstarter's mission will be to get a professional editor to view the finished product before I release the e-book and paperback. I'm pretty confident in my abilities, but I will try to get another set of eyes on it. I want to give this book the best chance I can provide it. The Kickstarter needs to be tweaked a little more, so it won't be ready until the beginning of November. Keep your eyes open, and make sure to sign up for updates!
Writers Note:
Speaking of scheduling if you aren't using SEMrush.com to schedule your updates FOR FREE on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, you're missing out. You can plan months of post posts. You don't have to pay for anything. As a social media manager, I wished I had found this kind of website sooner. It would've saved me so much money.
See ya soon!
