We did it! We did it! WE DID IT, DEAR READER!
We achieved something that most fail to accomplish.
70% of Kickstarters don't reach their goal. I remember reading that for the first time when I started thinking about my publishing aspirations. Because who would give ME money so I could make my dream come true? So, I started building the campaign knowing odds were against me. I didn't get my hopes up.
But then...you, dear reader.
You came from my past, letting me know you believed in me. You came from my present, helping with swaps and shares. I have never felt so much support in anything that I've ever tried to accomplish. The list of people I want to thank is long and growing longer by the minute, and although I didn't have lengthy conversations with many of you (I'm a writer, not a speaker), I am eternally grateful for all of you taking me one step closer to my dreams.
After the Kickstarter closes, we really start cooking with gas. I've already got an editor I want to go through, and "The Flickers of Fall" should be hitting the shelves by February 2023!
P.S.
Don't worry, dear Writer. I have not forgotten you. I will be giving a full breakdown of my Kickstarter campaign and will let you in on one of the BEST Facebook groups for advice about Kickstarters. This group is FANTASTIC, and I want to give them their proper due. I don't have room for the amount of praise I am about to shower on these people. Get ready.
